Done for you Tent Camping. We provide a tent, mattress, pillow, sleeping needs, towel and rainboots.
Bring your own tent and all needs. We provide a common bathroom, shower, living space and a place to set up your tent.
Yes, though this retreat has elements that are focused on women this is a family friends-partner friendly retreat. Daily we will have group activities and during women specific activities there will be a guys hangout and activities. You can ´purchase a partner ticket.
You will be camping a rural land. Be ready for all weather, for rain and cold evenings, swimming gear, and warm weather. If you don´t add on a ¨done for you camping tent set up´´ pack, a glamping, cabin or a house option than make sure to bring a a tent, mat of some kind, sleeping bag, towel, rainboots and an umbrella (if you feel you want it), if you did get an add on they are included and will be provided for you. Be prepared for bugs and warm weather how you see fit. Bring a headlamp or flashlight.
There is a little store with local craft beer, raw local honey, pollen, coffee, jams, authentic Peruvian alpaca clothes, hand made jewelry and more so don´t forget to bring cash either Peruvian soles or USD. You´re welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks just plan ahead because once you´re here there is no going back. Extra trips to down are $40 usd round trip.
Yes! Kids under 3 are free and you can buy a child pass for your kids 3-16. All activities are kids friendly but in certain activities like the sweat lodge there will be child care for children who don´t want to participate or leave early.
Yes 3 highly nourishing meals a day. Meals will be different each day. All will be made oh whole woods, zero PUFAs and will include things like homemade Italian style pizza, homemade sourdough bread, local grassfed beef, chicken and pork, our own eggs, honey, jam a mix of local and our own fruits and veggies. There will be a mix of German, Swiss, North American, European and Peruvian dishes.
Please make sure to carry out what you carry in. We don´t have a garbage pick up service so far out so please be responsible for and with your garbage, take it back to town with you and through it out there.
No, the main kitchen and fridge will be used for the cooks who will be cooking for everyone and to store the food for the week for everyone. Only if you rent our house(the house add on) will you have a kitchenet and cooler style fridge.
Only in designated fire places. Most likely every evening we will have a group chat around the fire.
In certain areas yes. The community kitchen and a couple other spots. But is only to check messages and basic use. Please be respect that we will be many people here during the retreat and we don´t want it to be slow for everyone. The goal of this retreat is to disconnect and be present, focus on healing, connections and being in nature. Try to stay off your phone.
Oxapampa, Peru is the closest town to us. We are an hour and half from town. We will pick you u 4p from the bus station when you arrive and show you around. We will also have transportation to drop you off at the end of the retreat.
Yes all the add in cabins, houses and glamping tents have power and plug ins. And for those camping will have the community kitchen to charge devices. There will be many of you and only so many plug ins so plan accordingly. You may want to bring a battery pack.
Lima Peru. From there I will organize a shuttle from the airport to your chosen hotel, hostel or Airbnb and from your hotel to the bus station the Sunday night before the retreat starts. You will travel on the very comfortable bus bed overnight and arrive to Oxapampa the next morning where we will be waiting.
Yes! Please send me a message on IG to chat about volunteer opportunities. You would come a couple days to a week before to help set up and stay a couple days after to help’ depending on the job you do. You will need to buy your own plane ticket to Peru and bus ticket to our town but your ticket will be free, in exchange for work.
No but you can sell your ticket, transfer it and if anything like 2020 happens your ticket will be valid and pushed for any future retreats that happen.
